Pinelopi's Greek Kitchen

Just had to share about this great night we had with family at this little gem of a restaurant. The servers were so friendly and welcoming, and we even got the chance to meet the owner, who is absolutely amazing. It was our first time dining there, and we were celebrating our niece’s birthday, so it made the experience even more special. The highlight of the night was definitely the cheesecake – it was out of this world! Huge kudos to everyone who made the evening so memorable. Can’t wait to go back!

Truly, a hidden gem in all of Barhaven! Definitely recommend making reservations as this is a smaller restaurant, but the service is astonishing. I counted 10 people serving/management/busing for this restaurant and that was plenty.

We were hungry but were not in the mood to cook. So I looked up restaurants in the area and found this one. The restaurant was almost packed but we managed to get a table. The customer service was friendly and quick. We all had the Souvlaki and it was tender and moist. The Greek salad was delicious and fresh and the potatoes and rice were tasty. We shared Chef Daniel's cheesecake and it was superb. I also had a coffee with the baklava which was superb. Going back is a done deal!

This restaurant is tucked into a strip mall on an otherwise busy suburban Ottawa roadway. Set your GPS and slow down. 4100 Strandherd Dr. You will get both quality and good service. Greeted at the door with a “Good evening & welcome.” And you do feel welcomed. The menu is broad. Mostly traditional Greek dishes & some creative fusion options. My party fell into silence when the food arrived - because the flavours were that good. The space is accessible, including the washrooms. Did not have any children in our party, so don’t know that part. The place is small and cozy. I suggest you call to make a reservation. And bring an appetite because servings are generous

Pinelopi's I think presents itself as a fine dining restaurant and your satisfaction depends partly on how much you appreciate that kind of atmosphere. The staff will accommodate special requests. I found that the lamb chops had a good flavour. The fries have a boiled texture, not a crispy fried texture. Food taste of course, is subjective. Note the souvlaki photo is a half split portion. The staff are attentive and do care about your satisfaction. The washrooms are also very clean. (Edited based on new understanding of the orders.)

A return visit is required just so I can try more tasty dishes. Absolutely loved my mocktail and main course! The restaurant is cozy, with about 15 tables total. Nice ambiance as well. After asking the waitress her suggestions about both my drink and main, I was pleased from beginning to end. Capped the meal off with a decaf cappuccino which hit the spot nicely. I'd suggest making a reservation if you're considering eating here as part a larger groupz simply to make sure you don't miss out on this gem. Overall, I would highly recommend Pinelopi's Greek Kitchen as a must visit restaurant in Barrhaven for a satisfying, in-person dining experience; whether among friends or for date night. As the Terminator would say...I'll be back!

Pinelopi’s Greek Kitchen is an absolute gem! From start to finish, our experience was fantastic — the service was second to none. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, informed, and enjoying every part of our meal. You can really tell they care about their guests. We kicked things off with the flaming saganaki, and wow — not only was it a fun presentation, but it was perfectly gooey, salty, and delicious. Definitely a must-try! Their drink selection was surprisingly extensive, with a great mix of cocktails, wine, and Greek favourites — all reasonably priced, which was a pleasant surprise for the quality. Everyone in our group ended up ordering pasta dishes, and each one was fresh, flavourful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. You can really taste the difference. The space itself is warm and inviting, with tasteful decor that balances a cozy, modern feel with traditional Greek touches. The only thing missing is a patio — it would be lovely to enjoy those amazing dishes outdoors in the summer! But even without it, this place shines. We’ll absolutely be back. Highly recommend!
